This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the site "tams.pes.edu". We at ("TAMS, i.e, The Amateur Manager and Scientist") recognise the importance of maintaining your privacy. In this regard, this Policy describes how we collect and process user information collected via this website. By visiting and/or using this website, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

- Identity data (name, email, phone, institution, etc.)
- Event registration and attendance data
- Device and technical data (IP, browser, OS)
- Usage analytics via PostHog (interaction tracking)
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We use data to operate event registration, manage access, improve UX, generate analytics, and debug system issues. Processing is based on user consent, legitimate use for service delivery, and legal obligations, such as:Data may be processed in the US and Asia-Pacific regions via cloud infrastructure providers.
- Provide, operate, maintain, improve, and promote the website for all users of the website;
- Send important communication, including responses to your questions and requests; notifications regarding events, registration confirmations, OTP verifications;
4. DATA SHARING
We do not sell any data with any platform. We may share data with:
- Event administrators
- University authorities
- Developers of the site
- Legal authorities if and when required
5. INTERNATIONAL INFORMATION TRANSFERS
We primarily store your information in a secure server on Google Cloud Platform (US). Some of the third party services we use such as Posthog and Cloudflare R2 may store data in other regions such as Asia-Pacific and EU.
6. SESSION RECORDINGS
We use PostHog session replay to understand user behavior. Information such as text inputs and notifications are not captured. These recordings are automatically deleted periodically and are used only for enhancing UI/UX and debugging.
7. DATA RETENTION
Data is retained only as long as required for operational and legal purposes, then deleted or anonymized.
8. DATA SECURITY, DATA INTEGRITY AND ACCESS
We take all reasonable steps to protect information we receive from you from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, and unauthorized disclosure or access. We have put in place appropriate technical and administrative measures to safeguard and secure your information, and we make use of privacy-enhancing technologies such as encryption and anonymization. Access to our hosting platforms, database, and other services are strictly controlled, monitored, and limited.
9. DATA DELETION REQUESTS
If you would like us to delete the personal information we hold about you, you may submit a request by emailing tams@pes.edu. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal, regulatory, or operational obligations that require us to retain certain information. Once your request has been processed, any data that is no longer required will be permanently deleted or anonymized.
